DAMYANG, April 21 (Korea Bizwire) — The country’s first public medical clinic for pets and abandoned animals is being established in Damyang County, 350 kilometers south of Seoul.
The medical clinic, which covers an area of 101 square meters, is comprised of a doctor’s office, surgery room, x-ray chamber, beauty salon and hospital ward.
It also comes with state-of-the-art medical equipment including blood testers, ultrasonic equipment for surgical procedures, and a powered operating table.
The clinic will be in charge of treating and preventing disease for abandoned animals, offering beauty as well as neutering services, and consultations for adoption and identification chip implants.
The clinic will also offer medical treatment and vaccinations for pets owned by persons with disabilities, basic welfare recipients and solitary seniors over 65 years of age.
