“The sales of foreign cars in Korea have increased and sales of supercars including Ferrari are also doing well. Korea is a market that holds great potential, where the responses of consumers are passionate.”
“The sales didn’t increase just because a market grew. We put a priority on advancing the satisfaction of consumers rather than increasing sales.”
“Korean Ferrari buyers have passions and dreams. They also understand the features and values of Ferrari. We plan to create more opportunities where those who like Ferrari can have more enjoyable driving experiences. We will continuously manage various programs like driving schools to improve driving skills and driving challenges at racing circuits.”
- Dieter Nektel, Ferrari’s regional branch manager for Asia and Far East
Seoul, July 17 (Korea Bizwire) – Dieter Nektel, Ferrari’s regional branch manager for Asia and Far East spoke to the press at an event promoting the launch of the 488 GTB in Korea.
He noted that Korea was the third largest market in Asia, after Japan and Australia, and holds great potential.
Ferrari has a strategy of limiting international sales to 7,000 cars per year. Among those numbers, the number of cars signed last year was over 100.
Reno DePaoli, Executive Director of the Korea-Japan region, states, “Many new clients were gained when the California T was launched last year. We anticipate that the 488GTB traditional eight-cylinder sports car will appeal to existing consumers and also attract new clients.”
Ferrari will also be launching an independent service center in Korea. The Ferrari and Maserati joint service center in Sungsoo-dong will exclusively cater to the needs of Ferrari owners, as the service center for Maserati will move to Sinsa-dong.
