SEJONG, Sept. 3 (Korea Bizwire) — Gallery-goers will be able to visit various art events around the country with a single purchase from now on.
The culture ministry announced on Monday that it will release three sorts of multi-biennale pass designed to increase people’s access to various art events around the country.
The Unified Biennale Pass allows admission to four major biennales — Gwangju Biennale (Sept. 7-Nov. 11), Busan Biennale (Sept. 8-Nov. 11), Daegu Photo Biennale (Sept. 7-Oct. 16) and Jeonnam International Sumuk Biennale (Sept. 1-Oct. 31) for 16,100 won (US$14.4), according to the ministry.
The Art Week Pass allows admission to two events — the Korea International Art Fair (Oct. 4-7) and Gwangju Biennale or Busan Biennale — for the two-week period from Oct. 2 to 14, designated by the government as Korea Art Week, for 18,000-19,000 won.
Those who purchase one of the passes can buy a Railway Pass designed to give unlimited use of KTX bullet trains during a given period or a 20-50 percent discount of KTX tickets on given days. It costs 92,700 won for a three-day pass and 123,600 won for a five-day pass.
The passes will be available through the online ticketing agency Ticketlink (www.ticketlink.co.kr).
