SEOUL, Feb.1 (Korea Bizwire) – Alba Heaven, an online part-time job portal, announced that the results of a survey conducted on 1,267 members showed that 50.4 percent of the respondents were planning to work during the Lunar New Year holiday.
Of note, individuals in their 40s and 50s were particularly eager to get a part time job during the holidays.
The survey revealed that 73.9 percent of those in their 50s expected to work during the holidays. This was followed by people in their 40s (51.5 percent), 20s (50.1 percent), and 30s (47.5 percent).
Representatives from Alba Heaven commented that middle-aged individuals seemed to be trying to get some extra cash for the holidays, as there are many occasions that might require them to open their wallets.
Among individuals in their 20s and 30s, those who were seeking jobs were more eager to work during the holidays (55 percent) compared to college students (49.4 percent).
In addition, those who earn all their spending money and cover living costs by working (58.2 percent) exceeded the portion of those who were depending on their parents (42.8 percent).
