Hotels Scramble to Attract Vaccinated Customers

SEOUL, June 17 (Korea Bizwire)As the number of Koreans vaccinated against COVID-19 continues to grow, hotels are scrambling to attract inoculated customers.

Kolon Hotel Gyeongju is offering a single-person coupon for its sauna, while Mauna Ocean Resort is offering single-person coupons for a free spa. Vaccinated customers can receive benefits at the hotel by submitting a vaccination certificate.

Conrad Seoul is currently offering a 30 percent discount for a buffet of four people, including the vaccinated customer, during lunch and dinner hours between Tuesday and Friday. The offer will be available until July 31.

Shilla Stay, a budget accommodation run by Hotel Shilla Co. is offering taxi fare subsidies of up to 10,000 won (US$8.84) for customers who come to the hotel after receiving a vaccination.

The hotel is also offering a 20 percent discount for a buffet of four people if it includes a vaccinated customer until July 31.
