The deal signed with CEPR, a local energy facility operator, called for Hyundai E&C along with Hyundai Engineering Co. to build a 1,000-MW coal-fired power plant along the coastal line of Java, an island 200 kilometers east of Jakarta.

Under the deal, which will be led mostly by Hyundai E&C, they will also lay down power lines and expand a transforming facility in the area.
