SEOUL, Aug. 3 (Korea Bizwire) — A major South Korean telecom provider’s pet-themed online commercial has gone viral, attracting over 10 million views on YouTube for its heart-touching and relatable storyline.
Since its release last month, the video named ‘the secret of a lullaby’ that depicts a woman taking care of her aging companion animal using LG Uplus’s IoT-based home surveillance camera service has struck a chord with the South Korean audience.
During the commercial, an aging dog waits by the door for its owner to come home after work every day until it’s diagnosed with a herniated disk, which prompts the owner to set up the CCTV service to communicate with the dog from work.
The commercial is based on the true story of a dog owner who has been using the network’s IoT-based smartphone application to take care of a pet named ‘Heerit’.
According to LG Uplus, the commercial has been met with a warm reception.
