INJE, Jun. 28 (Korea Bizwire) – The picturesque Naerincheon River in Inje County, Gangwon Province, is once again bustling with activity as the annual rafting season begins.

According to Inje County officials, more than 30 rafting companies have completed their preparations and are now fully operational, ready to welcome thrill-seekers and nature enthusiasts alike.

The Naerincheon River, widely regarded as South Korea’s premier rafting destination, offers a standard course that spans approximately 6 kilometers.

This exhilarating journey begins at Wodae Bridge in Gosari, Inje-eup, and concludes at Bamgol Camp.

The river’s appeal lies in its extended rapids sections and the harmonious balance between fast and slow-moving waters, making it an ideal location for rafting adventures.

Visitors are increasingly trying their hand at canoeing, kayaking, and “river bugging” – a hybrid between kayaking and rafting. The river’s challenging conditions have even attracted elite athletes, with the national canoe slalom team choosing the Naerincheon as their training ground in 2022 and 2023.
