SEOUL, Dec. 29 (Korea Bizwire) – Samsung Electronics will disclose its new concept washing machine, dubbed “Active Wash,” at the forthcoming CES 2015 to be held in Las Vegas on January 6. Active Wash is an innovative product enabling prewash for the first time in the century old washing machine industry.
The new machine features a built-in sink, which makes hand-washing or pre-washing clothes convenient and easy. Water jets can be activated with the push of a button, and any remaining water is then used during the washer’s regular cycle for clothes in the drum below.
With “super-speed” technology designed to minimize the time from water supply, washing and rinsing to spin-dry, the washing machine can complete a wash cycle in 36 minutes, saving time and reducing water and electricity consumption. Also, Active Wash is equipped with Samsung’s state-of-the-art technology such as VRT, which reduces vibration, and SmartCare, which provides laundry status updates to mobile devices.
