SEOUL, Nov. 17 (Korea Bizwire) — Samsung Electronics Co. said Wednesday that its 2022 Smart TVs have been certified by the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) in Britain for the second time for their web accessibility for visually impaired persons.
Samsung’s Smart TVs use a voice guidance system to provide assistance with using the remote control and other accessibility features, offering key information about each television program.
The volume and pitch of the voice can be adjusted to meet user preferences.
The “high contrast” feature turns graphic data into white letters against a black backdrop to maximize visibility while alleviating eyestrain.
The television automatically adjusts the transparency of the television menu screen to ensure the clarity of the text.
For color-blind persons, the television screen can be set to black and white.
