SEOUL, Aug. 30 (Korea Bizwire) — Samsung Electronics Co. is introducing its virtual avatar, G-Nusmas, the company’s first “alien employee.”
The tech giant recently revealed a teaser on social media alluding to the introduction of G-Nusmas at the Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA), the biggest annual electronics fair in Europe, set to open in Berlin on Sept. 2.
Samsung was inspired by humorous feedback about its innovative technology online, with some netizens claiming that it was the result of the company abducting aliens and created an actual virtual avatar that depicts an alien that works at the company.
G-Nusmas is Samsung spelled backward. The new avatar is from a planet called Nowus-129, which hints at the address of Samsung Electronics headquarters in Suwon, at 129 Samsung-ro.
