SEOUL, March 17 (Korea Bizwire)The Seoul Metropolitan Government on Thursday launched the operation of an integrated platform designed to promote the sharing of waterworks information on a real time basis.

The Digital Arisu ON service, which has been in development since September 2020 for use by city workers, allows the user to have a full glance at 15 waterworks-related systems and 133 types of information.

The newly-established platform provides real-time information in seven areas, including water intake, production, water quality, finances, daily situation and related news.

Thus far, officials in charge have been using more than 15 separate types of waterworks management systems, thereby making it difficult to ensure prompt response to emergency situations.

The Digital Arisu ON service offers information on current trends and the change in trends over time in the format of visualized data on map.

For instance, it allows users to detect vulnerable areas by comparing the sites where pipe freezing and bursting accidents occurred this winter and the distribution of such accidents in the previous year, while enabling users to grasp problems in advance by finding the areas with frequent complaints regarding the quality of water.
