SEOUL, Jan. 17 (Korea Bizwire) — The Seoul Metropolitan Government on Monday launched the first stage of Metaverse Seoul, which provides a variety of services.
The city government said that it was the first major city around the world to establish a metaverse platform and launch a service in the public sector.
The services offered through the platform are classified into five areas, including economy, education, tax, administration and communication.
Users can read e-books published by the city government, as well as gain information on the city’s major policies through the publicity videos displayed on the exterior of the Seoul Metropolitan Library.
The mayor’s office was recreated in a metaverse space, enabling users to leave opinions or receive answers on civic administration.
It is also possible for users to have various administrative documents issued as well as make use of a chat consultation service for civil complaints on Metaverse Seoul.
