SEOUL, Jan. 6 (Korea Bizwire) – Shinhan Card expanded its sign language counselling service through PCs and smartphones beginning on January 5. In the past, the service for the hearing-impaired was available at only six branches nationwide, and through exclusive visual communications devices.
Hearing-impaired Shinhan Card holders will now be able to receive financial counselling services anytime and anywhere. For smartphone users, they only need to install the Shinhan Smart Manager app and in the case of PCs, they just need to login to Shinhan’s homepage. Also, they can get important information such as bill payments and spending limits through the real-time chat window of the service.
The company introduced the sign language counselling service for financial transactions in May 2011. Furthermore, it manages separate counselling teams for elderly people, and offers foreign language services including not only English, Japanese and Chinese but also Vietnamese amid the social trend of increased multicultural families.
