SEOUL, Sept. 1 (Korea Bizwire) — The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced that the Tour de DMZ 2023 international road cycling competition will take place from Sept. 1 to 5.
The competition, which was inaugurated in 2016, is jointly organized by the ministry, the Incheon city government, the Gyeonggi provincial government, and the Gangwon provincial government.
It has been held in nine cities and counties bordering the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) since then.
The main event, the International Youth Road Cycling Race, will feature 176 cyclists from 20 teams representing 13 countries, including South Korea.
The race will cover 533 kilometers from Ganghwa County in Incheon to the Yanggu Sports Complex over a period of five days.
Another main event is the Masters Road Cycling Race, which will welcome 209 cyclists from 27 teams.
This race will cover a distance of 337 kilometers from Ganghwa to Inje and will take place over a period of three days from Sept. 1 to 3.
