SEOUL, Oct. 17 (Korea Bizwire) – Volvo Cars Korea announced on October 16 that it has secured the top position in the product satisfaction (TGR) category of the “2024 Automobile Planning Survey” conducted by Consumer Insight, a leading consumer research firm in South Korea. This achievement marks Volvo’s dominance over both domestic and imported car brands in the country.

Consumer Insight has been conducting South Korea’s largest automobile survey annually since 2001, polling approximately 100,000 automotive consumers each year. Last year, the firm began comparing domestic and imported car brands on a unified scale.

In the product satisfaction survey, which involved 6,976 consumers who had purchased new vehicles within the past year, Volvo scored 852 points, surpassing the industry average of 804 points by a significant margin of 48 points.

The Swedish automaker clinched the top spot in seven out of 11 evaluation categories, including safety, exterior design, seating, interior, advanced features and devices, value for money, and audio-visual systems.

Furthermore, Volvo maintained its leading position among European brands for the third consecutive year in the “durability quality” (TGW-d) survey. This assessment targeted consumers who had owned their vehicles for an average of three years.

Lee Yoon-mo, CEO of Volvo Cars Korea, expressed the company’s commitment to customer satisfaction, stating, “We will continue to strive to ensure that customers feel a higher level of satisfaction when purchasing a Volvo car and can enjoy the pleasure of ownership for a long time.”
