SEOUL, Aug. 19 (Korea Bizwire) – Watergun festivals are creating a buzz all over the country as a multitude of such events were held during the summer. The Sinchon Watergun Festival took place at Yeonseiro on July 25 and 26. It was the third year of the event. Sinchon was in chaos for two days.
The Gwangju Watergun Festival was held at Geumnamro on July 11 to celebrate the 2015 summer Universiad. It was a bonding moment, as men and women of all ages had fun with waterguns. The Gwangalli Watergun Festival opened on August 1 at Gwangalli beach. It was more than enough to cool down the deadly heat. In addition, the Ulsan Watergun Festival, in its sophomore year, was held from August 14 to 16, allowing participants to enjoy water combat.
Like the summer heat, the festivals have not yet ended. Another watergun festival will be held in September, when summer goes and autumn comes. The Family Watergun Festival will open at Seoul Square on September 5. Participants can register in family units. 500 families will participate, and a program where 60 families fight against each other will take place.
