SEOUL, April 11 (Korea Bizwire) – The city of Suncheon is offering weekend observatory classes where anyone can learn about the migration of snipes and plovers, and observe them in their natural environment with instruction from professionals. Entitled “The 12,000 Km Journey of Snipes,” the program will be held at Suncheon Bay Ecological Park, a large wetland that is home to diverse species and is a rest station for exotic migrant birds. Snipes and plovers are two of these migrant birds which stop to rest around this time of year.
The class is open on Saturdays and Sundays in April and May. Anyone can participate by making a reservation through the park’s website at www.suncheonbay.go.kr. The fee for one person is 20,000 won.
