SEOUL, June 4 (Korea Bizwire) - Woowa Brothers, the service provider of Korea’s No. 1 mobile food delivery application, “Baedal Minjok (meaning ‘the People of Delivery’),” released another smartphone app for restaurant operators to take and process the delivery orders made from the “Baedal Minjok” app.
The “Baedal Minjok Order-taking App” released on June 2 can be used for delivery business owners who selected the “app” order taking method. The app simplifies the order process enabling fast and accurate order processing and reduces broker fees to the app operator.
With the app, the restaurant owners can notify the orders with alarms and pop-ups in their smartphones. When they check the orders by pushing the “order-taking” button and input the expected delivery time, the order taking process is just over. The estimated delivery time is sent back to the one who placed the order by text messages.
With the process, the business owners can save time to write down the delivery addresses. Also, as they can check the ordered menus and addresses through their smartphones, they can process with the orders accurately. Its “mobile owner site” helps the owners check the sales, number of orders during the week and manage reviews from the Baedal Minjok app users on their satisfaction level.
The broker fee through the app is the same with order taking terminals with 6-7 percent, somewhat lower with 9 percent of the call center of the delivery app. Restaurants with more than 100 orders during the previous month can benefit from a 0.5 percentage point discount for brokerage. Currently, the app only supports Android-based devices.
Kim Bong-jin, president of Woowa Brothers, said, “The order taking app can support the restaurant management by helping fast and accurate order taking processes. We will provide better services for both business owners and delivery app users.”
