SEOUL, May 17 (Korea Bizwire) —Yogiyo made an announcement on Wednesday about the introduction of YogiPassX, which is the first subscription service in the industry that offers unlimited delivery services for a fixed fee. This move comes as consumers are increasingly reducing their usage of delivery apps due to the rising costs associated with deliveries.
YogiPassX is a subscription service that allows users to pay 9,900 won per month and enjoy free delivery fees for orders exceeding a minimum value of 17,000 won. This benefit is applicable to stores that display the YogiPassX badge on their delivery apps, including food delivery as well as convenience stores and other store categories that offer exclusive delivery services for convenience stores.
Yogiyo aims to alleviate the burden on consumers who are ordering less food due to high delivery costs. Additionally, they seek to boost sales for self-employed restaurateurs. To encourage adoption, Yogiyo is providing a complimentary one-month subscription to YogiPassX subscribers until June 30.
Recent data from Statistics Korea reveals that the value of delivery food orders experienced the largest decline on record for the second consecutive month in March. This suggests that many consumers are feeling overwhelmed by the soaring costs associated with food delivery.

The Korea Consumer Price Information Portal (KCPI) reported that on May 17, the average price of eight popular food items in Seoul increased by nearly 13 percent compared to the previous year. Among the items, Jajangmyeon witnessed a 12.5 percent rise from 6,146 won to 6,915 won, while the price of pork belly (200-gram equivalent) increased by 11.4 percent from 17,261 won to 19,236 won.
