SEOUL, Jan. 8 (Korea Bizwire) — Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance Choi Kyung-hwan is looking at an Eiffel Tower made by a 3D printer while he visits Rokit, a 3D printer manufacturer in Gasan-dong, western Seoul, on January 7. Deputy Prime Minister Choi said in a conference with new industry business leaders, “The government will drastically improve the overall efficiency of R&D support to the new industry sector.”
Meanwhile, the materials that 3D printers can “print” are becoming more diversified. At CES 2015, MakerBot, a U.S. 3D printer maker, gained media attention as it created a new material by blending metal, wood and stone together with PLA filaments.
