SEOUL, Oct. 10 (Korea Bizwire) – Hyundai’s high-performance electric vehicle, the Ioniq 5 N, has received overwhelmingly positive reviews in a comparison test against Tesla’s competing model, according to a recent poll by a British automotive magazine.
Car Magazine, a respected publication in the UK automotive press, released a YouTube video on September 18 featuring a comparative test drive of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N and the Tesla Model 3 Performance. The content, which has garnered significant attention in the automotive industry, showcases a clear preference for the Hyundai model among viewers and experts alike.
James Dennison, a driver for Car Magazine, after alternating between the two models, declared, “While Tesla would always be in contention for the best electric car, for me, the winner is the Ioniq 5 N.” He praised the Hyundai for its enjoyable driving experience, various features, and the impressive “N e-shift” virtual gear-shifting system, stating that it “possesses the qualities of a top-tier high-performance car.”
Dennison added, “The Ioniq 5 N is truly appealing and has a sense of humor that makes you want to drive it just for fun.”
In a viewer poll conducted through the video’s comments section, the Ioniq 5 N had received 69 votes compared to a mere 16 votes for the Model 3 Performance.
Viewers left comments praising the Ioniq 5 N for its build quality, design, and driving pleasure. One commenter noted, “Whether it’s the driving process or simply the design, the Ioniq 5 N is much more fun.” Others complimented Hyundai’s approach to car manufacturing, with one stating, “Hyundai knows how to make models that consumers want.”
This is not the first time the Ioniq 5 N has received such accolades. In June, Car Magazine, in collaboration with the German auto magazine Auto Zeitung, named the Ioniq 5 N the best electric sports car in a comparison test. The Hyundai model competed against high-performance electric vehicles from global brands such as the BMW i5 M60 and the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT.
