SEOUL, Aug. 6 (Korea Bizwire)Daewoo Engineering and Construction revealed on August 3 that it had, for the first time in the industry, developed a phased customized technology named ‘5ZCS’ (Five Zones Clean Air System) to filter fine dust at its new apartment complexes.

The company has divided its new apartment complexes into five zones, and the clean air system will be applied in systematic and differentiated ways for each sector.

At the entrance of Daewoo E&C’s new Prugio apartment complexes will be installed fans which will remove vehicle exhaust fumes and fine dust once an IoT (Internet of things) air quality measurement program determines that air pollution has surpassed an established threshold.

Each apartment unit will have a smart air quality management system, offering information related to dust, temperature, humidity, CO (carbon monoxide) and HCHO (formaldehyde) levels.

“As consumers have become increasingly concerned about fine dust, we have developed our own fine dust removal technology exclusively for Prugio apartments,” said an official from Daewoo E&C.

Daewoo E&C is due to file a patent application for its 5ZCS technology, which will be showcased at the Prugio Summit housing complex which is expected to be developed this year.
