SEOUL, Dec. 15 (Korea Bizwire)Samsung has yet again postponed the release of a smartphone powered by its own Tizen operating system. That marks the fourth time that the company has pushed back the launch.

According to IT industry experts, the Tizen device was originally expected to be launched on December 10 in India. IT experts are saying that Samsung’s lack of competence in software development is the reason behind the delay.

Samsung Electronics hasn’t officially announced the expected India release, nor have they sent out any invitations. However, Tarun Malik, Samsung’s director of South West Asia Media Solutions Center, mentioned an end-of-year release date in an interview. Samsung Electronics did not deny this information.

The Tizen OS has suffered setbacks since January 2014. The Japanese telecom giant NTT DoCoMo was expected to be the first carrier to offer a Tizen device but the launch never materialized. An expected July launch in Russia suffered the same fate.
