HWACHEON, Korea, Jan. 19 (Kore Bizwire) – On January 17, participants at the Creative Sleigh Contest held at the 2015 Hwacheon Trout Festival are competing in extraordinary sleighs. The festival has drawn more than 800,000 visitors in just 9 days since its opening.
The number of foreign visitors reached 15,000 as of January 19, doubling the number from the previous year. The festival, which holds Korea’s largest indoor ice sculpture exhibition in downtown Hwacheon, also introduces tourists to such places like trout lantern street with 24,000 trout lanterns and a coffee museum in the city. The winter festival will run through February 1.
