SEOUL, Feb. 24 (Korea Bizwire) — Kim Mi-Gyeong, ex-chairperson of Korean NGO ‘Beautiful Store,’ is holding her first private art exhibition, entitled ‘4 PM in Seochon,’ at gallery Ryugaheon in Tongui-dong, Seoul. Kim stopped working for a prestigious and very well-known NGO last year, due to her sudden desire to draw the urban landscapes unfolding before Inwang Mountain seen from the Beautiful Store office building.
Of course, she had to fight the urge and tried to keep it as a hobby. However, she said, during an interview with the Hankyoreh, that she finally had to quit her job, since her aspiration to draw was making her physically ill. Now, she draws eight hours a day on the rooftop of a three story building. Her works can be seen at the gallery until March 1.
