SEOUL, Sept. 21 (Korea Bizwire) — The Seoul Agricultural Technology Center announced Sunday that it has distributed Internet of Things (IoT)-based indoor plant cultivators to local government agencies for a test run.
Indoor plant cultivators control lighting, temperature, humidity and nutrients to ensure the stable growth of plants.
Each cultivator is 2.25 meters wide, 0.8 meters long and 2 meters tall. It comes with 3 rows and 3 spaces to grow multiple plants.
Each cultivator can grow up to 96 heads of lettuce per square meter, resulting in a potential harvest 2.6 times larger than the average for outdoor farming.
