SEOUL, March 27 (Korea Bizwire) – K-pop girl group BLACKPINK will hold its first Japanese tour in July, its agency said Tuesday.

The three-city concert series, “BLACKPINK Arena Tour 2018,” will kick off at Osaka-jo Hall in Osaka on July 24, according to YG Entertainment.

The quartet will later head to Fukuoka and Chiba. The tour will be comprised of six shows in total.

BLACKPINK landed one of the most successful debuts in the K-pop scene in 2016, storming multiple music charts back to back with its edgy hip-hop tracks, “Whistle” and “Boombayah.”

The group, the sole female band under YG, continued its winning streak last year with its summer hit, “As If It’s Your Last,” and made its successful Japanese debut in August. The company said the quartet recently finished recording a new album to be released in the near future.
