SEOUL, Oct. 27 (Korea Bizwire) – Daum Kakao has announced that it will be expanding its News Funding crowd funding service into a new service called Story Funding.
Story Funding allows creators of content other than news such as books, music, movies and new technologies to receive funding. The company’s goal is to expand its crowd funding business and the ecosystem for its content by connecting creators and sponsors. Those wishing to create a product through funding, or those who have a plot for a campaign, movie or book can participate in story funding. An integrated management system called Story Funding Studio is provided to Story Funding creators. The system helps creators to efficiently manage projects by themselves, from producing the content, designing products and managing sponsors.
A statistics report that shows the current state of funding is also provided, and channels through which sponsors and creators can communicate are also available.
Kakao is holding a promotion to give sponsorship rights to those who share or comment on a Story Funding project until the end of the year.
