SEOUL, May 17 (Korea Bizwire) — All employees at McDonald’s worldwide will be wearing shirts inscribed with Korean letters for work.
Starting with the United States, Canada, and Brazil on May 26, all McDonald’s stores in 49 countries across six continents will begin a new marketing program using Korean letters as they introduce the ‘BTS meal’ developed in collaboration with the K-pop sensation.
It is the first time for the U.S. food chain to work with a popular celebrity to introduce a collaboration menu in multiple countries.
American fashion media outlet SAINT tweeted on May 13 a photo of a black short sleeve shirt “developed jointly by McDonald’s and BTS for all McDonald’s employees”.
On the left-side of the shirt’s chest area are inscribed logos of BTS and McDonald’s, with the initial consonants of their names written in Korean.
