SEOUL, Jun. 25 (Korea Bizwire) — Many people are preoccupied with using their smartphone when they take the subway.
Instead of fatigued eyes from watching flashy videos on a small screen, how about taking a break and looking at art work?
The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MMCA) said it will showcase “modern art on the way to and from work” with the Seoul Transportation Corp.
The event will introduce images of the MMCA’s collection in the form of an advertisement frame on 6 trains on Subway Line No. 6.
If one scans the QR code printed on the frame, one will be connected to the museum’s website to see the detailed history of the collection.
“The project is an attempt to make art available to citizens on the subway at all times,” said Yoon Beom-mo, director of the MMCA.
