SEOUL, Oct. 28 (Korea Bizwire) – Kim Gunn, South Korean ambassador to Britain, on Tuesday (local time) submitted a letter of credence to Queen Elizabeth II.
The ambassador and his wife headed over Buckingham Palace in London in a carriage and joined a video conference to meet with the Queen at Windsor Castle.
Kim wore a traditional blue hanbok robe worn by Korean classical scholars during the Joseon era.
In Britain, it is customary for a newly appointed foreign ambassador to visit Buckingham Palace in a royal carriage before submitting the letter of credence to the Queen.
The event took place after the 95-year-old Queen was hospitalized for a day, garnering high interest among local media outlets.
