While the Korean automobile industry is actively promoting character marketing like Hyundai and Kia’s “Tobot” transformer series, the largest car sharing service provider in Korea will roll out car-sharing vehicles fully wrapped with “Pororo” characters.
The car sharing operator will provide three Pororo cars based on two Ray models of Kia Motors and one Focus model of Ford. One of the Rays will be served in Jeju Island and the other two will be available in Seoul Express Bus Terminal in Gangnam.
In commemoration of their debuts, Greencar is holding a promotional booking for the first advance reservation for the Pororo Green Cars until July 25. Those who visit the web site of Greencar and make a reservation selecting date from July 21 to August 21 and the type of vehicles will be automatically applied for the event.
The company will select 90 winners in random draws and the winners will be awarded 10 hours of trial ride of the Pororo cars. Among the winners, Green Car will also give away 30 Pororo character bags to 30 winners who leave messages after the trial ride.
An official at Greencar said, “To give unique memories for customers who use our services with their kids, we introduced the Pororo car-sharing vehicles.” Meanwhile, Greencar’s car-sharing service is available for those who need cars for a short time by making reservations at its web site or smartphone app. The users can share the cars at 700 Green Zones where the vehicles are parked nearby subway stations or major landmarks at any time.
Those who earned the drivers’ licenses for more than a year and are over the age of 21 can sign up for the membership on the web and smartphone app.
