Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon also posted a celebratory message on his Twitter account (@nylee21): “BTS, I am proud of you.”

“BTS (recorded) second No. 1 on Billboard this year. Only superstars like The Beatles, Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra topped Billboard twice in a year,” the prime minister noted.

On Monday (Korean time), the U.S. music chart Billboard said on its website that BTS has scored its second No. 1 title on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

According to Billboard, the latest BTS album, “Love Yourself: Answer,” debuted on the album chart at No. 1 for the week ending last Thursday.

It is the septet’s second conquering of the competitive Billboard chart this year, coming after their previous album, “Love Yourself: Tear,” landed atop the list in May.

The latest result brightened the prospects for the chart performance of “Idol,” the main single of the new album after “Fake Love,” the lead track of the previous album climbed to 10th on the Billboard Hot 100 song list in May.
