SEOUL, Nov. 9 (Korea Bizwire) – Where Trump goes, his Twitter feed will follow, as the U.S. president has left a running diary of his stops in Japan and South Korea through a series of tweets. With the South Korean leg of his journey at a close, Trump heads to Bejiing, prompting curious observers to wonder whether the tweet-happy president will continue to indulge his habits in China, where western social media services are restricted.

Bloomberg News previously reported that members of the White House presidential staff were concerned with potential security leaks and had held internal discussions on Twitter use in China.

U.S. citizens have shown a growing weariness with the president’s social media blurbs. In September, Fox News reported 70 percent of 1,017 survey respondents viewed the president’s Twitter diatribes against North Korea as “not helpful”. Other media outlets highlighted polling by Quinnipiac University that found 69 percent believed Trump should stay off Twitter (1,412 participants of voting age).

Obviously, Twitter has continued to be used as the microphone for projecting Trump’s varying thoughts into society.

On November 8, multiple snippets of the speech at the National Assembly, taken from Fox News’ reporting, were uploaded to Twitter account holder “@realDonaldTrump”. A scroll down the feed shows other video clips of Trump at U.S. military garrison Camp Humphreys, speaking amidst a dining hall filled with service members, and the welcome ceremony that brought Trump to the Blue House.

With expressions of gratitude to South Korea, declarations of hope and a castigation of North Korea, Trump’s tweets while on South Korean soil have done a decent job at capturing the polarizing nature of the man. Whether China will tolerate his unique sense of commentary remains to be seen. Keep an eye on Trump’s Twitter.
