SEOUL, Oct. 20 (Korea Bizwire) — The Seoul Metropolitan Government said Tuesday that it will provide a digital mapping service that locates zero-waste shops in the city.
Users can look up zero-waste cafes, restaurants, refill shops and eco-friendly appliance stores by accessing the Smart Seoul Map website and clicking on the zero-waste icon.
The map provides each shop’s contact information and website, as well as information on working hours, products on sale and how they manage to achieve zero waste.
There are currently some 70 zero-waste shops registered on the map.
Seoul is the first regional government to introduce a digital map for zero-waste shops to promote eco-friendly consumption and reduce waste, the city said.
