SEOUL, Nov.11 (Korea Bizwire)Hyundai Motor has revealed its new premium luxury sedan, the Genesis EQ900.

The vehicle is equipped with cutting edge technology, from autonomous features to first class VIP seats that adjust to the posture of the driver.

The EQ900 is the fruit of a project carried out with the participation of 1,200 researchers, and has been in development for the past four years. It is a masterpiece that is expected to compete with high end foreign cars such as the Mercedes-Benz S Class, BMW 7 Series and Audi A8.

The design concept of the vehicle is ‘respectful and deep grace’. A body line that starts from the grill and makes its way to the back of the car creates a harmony with the rich body volume, completing a graceful design.

The leather used in the inside of the car was developed in collaboration with Pasubio, a high-end leather processing brand from Italy. The wooden trim is cut from real wood logs. The steering wheel is also covered with premium leather from Italy.

The EQ900 features body stiffness that has been improved by 181 percent in cases of external shock compared to the previous model. A Highway Driving Aid (HDA), an active driving system that assists the driver and keeps the car safe, is included for the first time in Korea. In addition, the car features a side collision avoidance system, which is an improvement over the previous rear end alert system.

The back seats are equipped with ‘first class VIP seats’, which can recline like the first class seats of an airplane. To provide the most comfort, the seats can be adjusted to suit the body of the passenger.
