SEOUL, Dec.4 (Korea Bizwire) – For the first time, Hyundai Motor management will meet their anti-fans and talk.
According to industry watchers, Hyundai Motor’s Vice President Kwak Jin will invite members of their biggest ‘anti’ café, Bobe Dream, and host a debate related to the misunderstandings they have about Hyundai.
Previously, president Kim Chung-ho and vice-chairman Kwon Mun-sik invited customers to talk about their needs and wants. However, this is the first time that management of Hyundai Motor is meeting anti-fans.
Bobe Dream is the largest online car community in Korea, and is famous for having many members who have negative opinions about Hyundai Motor. Some anti-fans even call Hyundai Motor ‘Hyunggi Motor’, meaning that the cars are lethal weapons.
Executives from Hyundai Motor plan to meet the anti-fans to explain the misunderstandings they have about Hyundai, and listen to their complaints and suggestions so that they can use them as a reference to help grow as a global corporation. Hyundai Motor is currently concentrating on advancing its product quality and customer trust.
The event will consist of tours of core facilities, such as the Namyang research center and pilot center, watching crash-tests, and experiencing the eco-friendly strategy car. A conference with Vice President Kwak Jin will take place in the evening.
Registration for the event can be completed at the Hyundai Motor Homepage (www.hyundai.com). There is also an ad promoting the event on the Bobe Dream site.
Hyundai Motor officials expect that they will encounter much criticism and questions. “We might have a hard time answering the anti-fans, but we think that by sincerely communicating with them, we can start changing the negative views into positive ones.”
