SEOUL, Sept. 24 (Korea Bizwire) — In St. Mary’s Square, San Francisco, a direction sign has been installed to make it easier to find the location of the Comfort Women memorial.
On Sunday, the public commemorated the second anniversary of the establishment of the memorial inside and at the entrance of St. Mary’s Square. On the same day, the new direction sign was unveiled.
The sign offers information about the historical Asian memorials at St. Mary’s Square.
It introduces not only the Korean Comfort Women memorial, but also a Chinese-American World War memorial and the Rose Pak Memorial Tree, all within the square.
However, the first heading on the sign is Korea’s Comfort Women memorial.
It took two years to get permission from the city government to set up the new sign after the construction of the monument.
