SEOUL, April 28 (Korea Bizwire) — Samsung Electronics Co. said Thursday it is presenting its first-ever 89-inch microLED display at the Appliance & Electronics World Expo 2023 in Shanghai.
MicroLED technology provides best-in-class picture quality, as it uses micrometer-sized LEDs to produce light and color without requiring a backlight or color filter.
Additionally, these LEDs can be installed in a modular format, allowing for free adjustments to the display’s size, ratio, and shape.
Unlike traditional TVs, microLED displays do not have a bezel, creating an immersive viewing experience for the audience.
Samsung has also planned to launch the world’s first 87-inch microLED display in China by the end of next month.
