SEOUL, Sept. 3 (Korea Bizwire) — The night sky over Seoul is set to come alive with a spectacular display of color and light as Hanwha Corporation announced on September 2 its plans to host the Seoul International Fireworks Festival 2024 on October 5 at Yeouido Hangang Park.

This annual pyrotechnic extravaganza, a flagship corporate social responsibility initiative by the Hanwha Group since 2000, will unfold under the theme “Light Up Your Dream,” celebrating individuals who pursue their aspirations with the vibrancy of fireworks.

This year’s festival will feature performances from three countries: South Korea, the United States, and Japan, each bringing their unique cultural flair to the skies above the Han River.

Opening the show, the Japanese team, Hibikiya Omagari Fireworks, will present “The Hanabi,” a display aimed at expressing diverse spatial art through fireworks.

Following this, the American team, Pyro Spectaculars, will take to the skies with the theme “California Dreaming,” encapsulating notions of freedom and aspiration in their pyrotechnic display.

The grand finale will be orchestrated by the South Korean team from Hanwha Corporation. Under the theme “Flashlight,” they plan to deliver a message of hope using light as their motif.

Hanwha has promised to use the largest fireworks in the festival’s history, ensuring visibility from greater distances and allowing more spectators to enjoy the spectacle.

In response to growing safety concerns at large public events, organizers have significantly upgraded the Orange Safety app, first introduced last year.

This improved safety management system will work in conjunction with telecom companies to monitor real-time crowd density and guide the deployment of security personnel to manage crowd flow effectively.

Additionally, a comprehensive situation room will be established in cooperation with local authorities, including the Yeongdeungpo-gu office, the Fire and Disaster Headquarters, and the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, to enable rapid responses to any emergencies.

For those seeking a more immersive experience, official seating areas will be available, offering closer views of the fireworks. Tickets for these premium spots can be requested through the Life Plus Tribe app until September 22.

Recognizing the digital age’s demands, Hanwha plans to simulcast the Yeouido fireworks show through its official YouTube channel, Hanwha TV, and the festival’s dedicated app, Orange Play, allowing a global audience to partake in the festivities remotely.
