SEOUL, July 25 (Korea Bizwire)More than half of South Korean workers gave up or could not plan their summer vacations primarily due to financial constraints, according to a survey conducted by the civic group Gapjil 119.

The survey covered 1,000 workers aged 19 years and above across the country, and it revealed that only 43.9 percent of the respondents had summer vacation plans.

Additionally, 36.3 percent of the participants stated that they had not yet finalized their summer vacation plans, while 19.8 percent declared that they had no plans at all.

The percentage of workers with summer vacation plans was notably lower among irregular workers, lower-paid workers, and those employed in small workplaces with fewer than five workers.
