JEJU, March 25 (Korea Bizwire) — To prevent the spread of the coronavirus, a hotel has introduced an artificial intelligence (AI) robot.
Howard Johnson Jeju Hotel Yeondong in the southern island of Jeju recently installed an AI robot equipped with thermal sensors and an automatic hand sanitizer dispenser for the first time in the province.
The AI robot “Temi,” equipped with self-driving and remote-control functions, automatically takes the temperature of hotel guests at hotel entrances and in the lobby and provides hand sanitizer.
Furthermore, when “Temi” identifies a suspected COVID-19 patient, it may direct the patient to a selected clinic. “Temi” also operates as a kiosk, allowing users to use untact tasks such as check-in and check-out.
