SEOUL, Dec. 1 (Korea Bizwire) – Just three weeks after its rollout, more than 20,000 customers have already signed up for SK Telecom’s custom-tailored T Outdoor wearable device plan. The T Outdoor service is a rate plan for communications module-equipped wearable devices, and allows the user to take advantage of voice and data services without a smartphone when going out.
SK is hoping to capitalize on the increased interest in wearable devices, custom-tailoring rate plans for those who live active, outdoor lives, while offering differentiated service for wearable devices. To commemorate the 20,000-subscription mark, the largest mobile carrier in Korea will offer Starbucks mobile coupons to new subscribers who sign up for the rate plan from December 1 to 12.
